Padma Luciano
Padma Luciano is an art therapist with a lifelong love for art making and creating space for people to experience healing and connection within themselves and their relationships. She grew up in the beautiful countryside of West Virginia, where she would often be outside in nature, nose deep in a book, or making art. She discovered art therapy while studying at Columbus College of Art and Design, and found it to be the perfect combination of her two life’s callings; creativity and helping others. After completing a bachelor of fine arts, she obtained her master’s degree in art therapy from Florida State University. Padma lives in Alachua, Florida with her husband and two children.
Art therapy is a mental health profession that utilizes the process of art making for its inherently soothing and therapeutic nature, as well as a means of communication, self-expression, gaining insight, and problem solving. Art therapy effectively supports both personal and relational wellness goals.
Padma offers empathetic listening, compassionate support, and helping people tap into their own answers, strengths, and skills. She works with all ages and can support clients in coping with a variety of issues including grief, loss, stress, anxiety, and depression. Sessions may include drawing, painting, sculpting, sand tray, writing, meditation, movement, and music.
